Another open-face madness meal!
This month I decided to write about another open-face sandwich I concocted on David and I's camping trip to/in Michigan a couple Summers ago.
- Bread (White or I like to use I wide soft french-style bread)
- Eggs (A few)
- Maple Sausages, patty or link (You can get them frozen or fresh at someplace like Harris Teeter or Wegman's)
So you would prepare your French Toast however you normally would (everyone has their own way and I don't really care how you like it, as long as you like it). So that is what some of the eggs, cinnamon, and milk are for. *Have some eggs for later. I like to use French-style bread, cut a little wider with a little whisky or spiced rum to my French Toast mix.
WHILE preparing your french toast, fry or scramble an egg for each person you are serving. Same as with the sausages.
Now, the most important part, take a slice of French Toast and stack the sausage (split the link in half, if you use links), and egg on top. Drizzle some syrup and ta-da... you have a Open-Face French Toast Sandwich.
Let me know what you think!
